FAQs

How long is one PilotPackage?

Each PilotPackage takes your child on a season based education journey lasting approximately 15 weeks and time for a final cumulative project. This usually amounts to over 60 hours of adventure. This is an estimated timeline given the number of trip plans, and may vary based on your family plans.

Who develops a PilotPackage?

Our books are written by a team who share a deep respect for family values, education, and our nation's heritage and beauty. This includes students (who founded PilotPackage based on their experience in schools!), writers, and parents who are committed to providing accurate and engaging material that reflects the values we hold dear. We hope our books inspire your family to embark on meaningful adventures and learn more about the wonderful world around us. We are also always checking and updating our books based on feedback!

What resources come with each trip plan?

Each PilotPackage trip plan comes with information you should you know as a parent, planning resources, a "Before You Go" pre-research section, a "While You're there" section, and reflective sections after completion of the trip. Writing prompts and bonus challenges are also included.

Extra note-taking and writing pages are included in each section.

What is a PilotPackage Passport?

Each PilotPackage is divided into learning sections History & Civics, Creative Horizons, STEM, Nature, Local Legacy, and State Heritage and Volunteering. Each PilotPackage comes with season-based stamps for your child to cut and glue on an entry corresponding to each trip to show growth and comprehensive learning.

What is a PilotPackage State Series?

For each geographical area that a PilotPackage has been developed for, the trips have been optimized for each season and learning plan. Each series contains the PilotPackage for Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. We are also working on other topic specific books to be released soon!
